Słowacki Theatre is one of the most popular and well known places in Krakow. It’s functioning continuously since it’s foundation in 1893. It is one of the most prominent and most commonly known stages in Poland.
The edifice was built by Jan Zawiejski and it is perceived as one of the most valuable theatre monuments in Europe. On the fronton there is an inscription that says “Krakow narodowej sztuce” and it means like “Krakow for the national art”.
